Does anyone have a favourite OS X clipboard manager? I'd like one that handles images, since that's a large part of my heavy lifting, and I'm willing to spend a little money on it.
Can you believe (Opera 15 rant continues) the new Opera doesn't have title bars? Like, I can't see ita !: Buffistechnology 3: "Press Some Buttons, See What Happens" if I were to navigate this page. Just the tab, where you can see the start of it, and that's rarely enough to read the whole thing, and is definitely subordinate to the favicon.
I think Bank Of America no longer supports Opera 12 too. I can't get to eBills in it anymore.
Fuck you, BofA! I paid on my tablet instead (I like that app now that I can deposit cheques with it).
Thank you Ginger!!! I'll pass the html along. It looks like someone added a text link to the page while I was looking for help. We totally need a new webmaster.
Man, I was about to ask how to get the date on the OS X menubar, but I tried Google first, and I tried all these hacks for it, and and and then I clicked on Time and Dates and it's now an option, no hacks required.
Though maybe I do need the day there.
Interesting--I had all my date formats DMY, but it was displaying the date M/D in the menu bar. My region is "custom" because of that--but I never set it to custom. In fact, the measurement system was set to metric.
If I set the region to UK the menu bar rights itself and then if I change the currency and measurement to $ and lb respectively, I get to keep the D/M order in the bar--but I can't find a setting that controls menu bar format explicitly.
Where are you hiding, tricksy precious?
Fuck a duck. Time Warner is awful even when you are leaving them. I called to have my phone and cable shut off NEXT Tuesday and guess what was gone this evening. If you are cutting the cord, I'd say no notice is best.
oh good grief.
I hope they stop billing on the same schedule, at least.
No OS X clipboard managers? Ah, well.
I have two more questions: anyone have a recommendation for a Linux (LAMP preferred) gallery software that manages animated GIFs? My collection has officially outgrown my naming scheme, and finding stuff turns into a walk down memory lane. I use Pinwigo for my reference collection, and I like it quite a bit, but the gallery view doesn't show animated thumbnails. I'm willing to run two apps if one will let me see the animations, even at the risk of triggering a seizure.
But if nothing is out there, I'll just toss them in there, I guess.
I decided to narrow my task manager (yes!) search down to GTD apps, since I got a little bit further in the book, and figure at worst I can ignore that feature set, at best I'll fucking finish the book. The apps seem to be on the more full-featured end of things.
I was all excited by the flexible recurring appointment functionality of DGT DTD, but maybe I should have paid more attention to the [Alpha] because I can't find any synchronising or cloud options. Damn! If I only had one device, I might be quite satisfied. But that's so far from true...
No OS X clipboard managers? Ah, well.
I used CuteClips, but I also have Unclutterer installed. I also have Alfred installed, but I don't use it for the clipboard function.
I am on my fifth phone call with them trying to get the cable tv back in operation. They even agree that my paperwork says that I requested the shutoff on the 27th. There is a race on which I specifically want to watch. I have kept cable a month longer than planned for for this.
I am going to discuss the fact that I shouldn't be paying for the two days that it was off and their fault. And I am going to be pissed if my dvr is empty once I can see it again. But I will deal with those in writing after my tv is back. So far I have spent a cumulative of two hours on the phone with them. I'm working on the assumption that I am not hanging up until it works. Or I know they are calling ME back ten minutes after it should be working.
I really need to investigate alternate ISPs.
eta: Two and a half hours but the guy willingly stayed on the phone until I could confirm that the tv was back on and he volunteered a $20 credit. Finally find a good tech on TW and I am still ditching my cable and phone on the 27th. Still, I got his name so good report will go in his file.
