Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
ita, IMO, I think you may want to use evernote + followupthen. I think the combination of both will get you exactly what you need.
followupthen was what I used when most of the todo apps weren't working for me. it sends you and email whenever you tell it to and can do so recurring. you can also tell it to text you (premium feature). FUT also allows attachments (premium).
Remember the Milk one of the ones you tested?
No--it's one of the ones on the list of "pro might work". Cross device syncing, widgets, app tray/notification reminders, etc come with the money.
LeN, are FUT and Evernote integrated? How do they together provide the answer?
oh. that's a good q. they are not integrated, but sometimes I have a more involved evernote note and I will put the note link in an email to FUT and when I click the link, it opens evernote.
Is anyone here involved with developing apps for different platforms? I think it is interesting that these guys opened themselves up for criticism like this: [link]
Our first app is iPad only, and I think we should at least have usage numbers so we can measure our success (did 5% of the possible audience download the app, or 95%?), but no one is taking me on.
Projects without measurable success goals make me nervous.
I wasn't directly involved in mobile app development at Motorola, but I was involved with teams that did have mobile apps. They didn't seem to have any great difficulty developing both iOS and Android versions. A lot of it involved streaming media. Actually iOS was more difficult since it only supported Apple DRM while Android was more flexible.
This is what Opera says about V15:
Functionality decreased significantly with the engine switch, we know it, it's obvious.
Of course
you
know that. We didn't need to know, though, because your browser is not ready for prime time. Why the fuck should I care that I can use Chrome extensions with this version of Opera if it now has fewer features than either Opera 12 or Chrome?
Bookmarks, customisable toolbars, URL history--apparently the dropped feature list is two pages long.
I'm stunned at the attitude towards users. I can't work out what's in it for us.
Numbers/Excel issue: I created a file in Numbers and exported it as an Excel file. Everything worked great... except the column that had images in it was blank. Any suggestions? I could go find all 500 images again and plop them into Excel but I'd really rather not. (Plus, I didn't have to resize the images for Numbers.)
Finally. Apparently Google's DNS service is down, so if you're affected and are having slow browsing, here: [link] I changed mine to OpenDNS and getting to some sites is much faster now.
I was using the ctrl+ to zoom in on a jpeg in Chrome, and somehow my windows display settings were frelled to super-big. Not just chrome, but my entire display I went into display settings and manually adjusted my settings back to what I preferred, so technical support not needed, or at least not if it will take any effort on your part. But if you can guess offhand how the fuck I managed to do that, please let me know.
