No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

What are favorite ad and popup blockers these days. Somehow I managed to uninstall all mine on Chrome and I don't remember what I used.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I just use the AdBlock extension to Chrome.

Ghostery is also useful for blocking trackers.

My essential extensions (Firefox and Chrome) are:

AdBlock - everybody knows what that is

Ghostery - tracker blocking

Lazarus - saves text box input so you don't have to retype if a post fails or you accidentally delete it before posting.

LastPass - Password management

And gmail stuff.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Ghostery was slowing down my load times

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh my God, I need Lazarus.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

It is a revelation. I love it.

Lazarus is a must have. There's that great feeling when you've lost the greatest post that ever been posted in the history of the Internet and then remember you have Lazarus and bring it back with a click.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Toddson, I hope you got resolution. Apple is usually pretty good about that stuff; they sent my Airbook off for repair for a pre-agreed $280 price if they could repair it, no charge if they couldn't. They had it for 2.5 weeks, which is kind of long, and when I picked it up they didn't charge me. And they had replaced a bunch of shit on it.

I wonder how this would work for people who are backing up stuff in the apple and windows world. [link]

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

smonster - and everyone else - Apple was WONDERFUL. I went into the store and expected that the "genius" would run a diagnostic, tell me there was nothing wrong, and send me on my way. I was wrong (someone being wrong in real life as well as on the internet!) - he checked it, said there was no sign of software problems (my heart sinking) BUT that the failure of the touch screen was something that did happen and gave me a BRAND-NEW iPad mini! backed up the old one, restored everything to the new one, and sent me on my way. Happy!

So far, so good.
