I think your xorg.conf is messed up
I don't have one--this message comes up during the installation. I'm going to try installing from the Alternate CD and jiggle the video commands there. Hopefully this 6.10 fix is still applicable.

What/when is the next big Apple event, when they might introduce new products?
I need a new iPod. There was a rumor site that had a rumor that the new iPod would have touch-screen controls like the iPhone. Apple asked them to take the story down. So maybe it's true?
Any rumors about bigger HDs in new iPods?

There's no event scheduled, but there are lots of rumors that Apple will update the iPod soon (they haven't updated it in a couple of years). And if they're going to update it, they would have to do it soon (say, by the end of September) if they're going to have something ready for Christmas.
Awesome.
Speak of the devil....
ThinkSecret reports that Apple is prepping an update to their full-size iPod that could arrive in the "first-half of August".
ThinkSecret believes that the iPod will not feature a touch-screen or a scaled down version of OS X until 2008. Instead, they believe that the new iPod is somewhat shorter than existing iPods but will maintain the current screen and click wheel. If true, this would correlate with a recent mockup posted to 9to5mac.
The saved space will shrink about an inch off the device and give it proportions that in some ways more resemble a BlackBerry.
They also confirm that the recently leaked iPod inteface videos will be used for the upcoming 6G iPod's interface.

Tommy, I've been shopping around for an iPod and I've noticed that there's been a lot of "sales" on models lately, (usually about $20-25 off) and wondered if that meant they were getting ready to stock newer versions.
Bloody. Yahoo's closing their photo site (apparently they own Flickr now?), and I have to figure out what to do with the photos I have online. They suggest five options:
What's important to me -- storage space, free service
What's not important -- creating prints from my photos.
Anyone have any opinions on the best option? I can already tell that Flickr's free account is probably not going to work. (And thanks for NOT e-mailing to warn me, Yahoo. Fuckers.)
Yahoo keeps emailing me, Dana. That's weird.
What is wrong with Flickr? That'll help see which of the others are right or wrong.
I can't remember which of that list seem to require you to log in to view someone's pics, but I know there are people's albums I never saw because I came to yet another registration page and wandered off in frustration.
Snapfish has been telling me they are about to delete the pictures I have in there since I haven't ordered anything in a year+, FYI.
