Living in Jamaica you don't get to try before you buy.
I guess--what can you buy for ~$50 that can give her decent footage to analyse body language? So maybe audio isn't the big deal. Tripods are useful too, for that price.
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

We had a warning go out yesterday at work asking people not to decline invitations on iOS 6 devices, because it was frelling the meetings declining multiple people, and somesuch. Anyone encountered anything like that, or is it just a peculiarity of our email (Exchange) setup?
As for my sister, she will be reviewing on a laptop screen. I'd imagine VGA would be fine.
It's a known bug with iOS6 and Exchange: [link]
Man, we're getting hit on both sides, where the app we support doesn't work with iOS 6 or IE 10, but that's for the field. We've only recently told them there was any browser in the world other than IE 6. But internally? Bet your damn skippy a bunch of people were on iOS 6 as soon as they could be. The IT department isn't entirely sure Androids are secure, so getting company email on an iPhone is a walk in a park, and you have to pout and bat your eyelashes (and spend $20 of your own money) to get company email on an Android device (I got turned down when I brought them my third). I can only hope that the Windows thing is a lock for those #8 users.
Does anyone have a recommendation for an alarm clock program? iOS or Android? Now that my Chumby has gone to the lands beyond the seas of Ether, I need something reliable to wake me up. I've been randomly downloading stuff to my Touchpad and Android tablet, but not precisely there yet, I guess.
I want an app that makes the screen a dimmable digital clock, has a wide range of wakeup noises (being able to add or play music would be great), and lets you do ridiculously granular alarms--I'd like to wake up at a different time on Tuesday from Monday. That sort of crazy shit. I can't believe my iPod only just now occurred to me...
I haven't updated to iOS 6 because I'm waiting for all the kinks to get worked out.
I'm annoyed as hell that I have to use some ancient programs that only work in IE6 (the MAIN program I use every day to do things, actually!), but we've now updated, which means I have to go through some sort of emulator that takes forever to work. Got to start using it today...gee fun. Apparently it only really likes to work when nothing else is running.
Can get the following [link] for $479. Trying to take advantages of the switch from Window 7 to Windows 8 to get a win 7 machine at a bargain:
For $479. HP Pavilion P7 : AMD Quad Core A8-5500 processor, 8 Gb DDR3 Ram, 1 Tb 7200 Sata hard drive A - seems like a bargain to me. Have not shopped computers in while. Seem like a good buy to you?
Seems reasonable. I generally build my own for desktops so I'm not real up on prices for complete systems. What are you planning to do with your computer?
You could get a decent laptop plus extra monitor, keyboard, and mouse for that much if you wanted portability though you'd sacrifice some speed and storage.
desktop publishing, photo editing, word processing. I'm really tired of slow machines. If I'm in a large DTP publication, I want to be able to navigate without having to pause and wait two minutes while it refreshes and catches up.
Desktop publishing and photo editing does seems like the sort of stuff where the power and storage of a desktop computer would be nice.
Am I missing something? Can I clip web pages to Evernote in Android? I'd thought that I could save to Pocket and share from there, but it sends the text version, and those do not have the content in any of the examples I tried. They were remarkably useless, in fact.
