Complete access to the person's account.
Which could probably be leveraged into a complete takeover of all someone's accounts. At least, that's what happened to that tech journalist last month. Someone got into his cellphone account, IIRC, and from there into his Amazon account, and then Gmail, then Apple, and from there it was all over--he lost everything in the cloud and everything on his MacBook and iPad, which they wiped remotely.
And all they really wanted was his Twitter handle.
I forget the exact chain of connections, but Amazon claims they've blocked the loophole the hackers used.
'Suela,
they got his apple id and amazon id and the rest is history.
Well, and if youre someone famous that would be bad. Or if it's your ex who is stalking you or something
I kinda think that would be bad even if I weren't being stalked and weren't famous...
Does the facebook integration into iOS6 sqick anyone else? I'm wondering how much data mining is going on. It's one thing when you are using the facebook webpage, but if it's integrated into the phone... I dunno. It doesn't sit well with me. Also a little pissy that not all features will work with the latest gen iPad. I understand my iPhone 4 is now in third place, so not all features for it. But the iPad retina?
Not all that impressed with the offerings, such that I feel the need to install it.
On the one hand it's too much, on the other too little?
What I want to know about the FB integration is, if you turn on Contact synching, if it will still overwrite the email addresses in your contacts with the Facebook emails. That was a BIG issue a few months back when FB changed everyone's primary email to whatever@facebook.com.
I have NOT enabled synching until I know for sure what it does with my existing contacts' email addresses.
On Android, it will show both sets of information. So if I have someone's phone number already, and it's in their Facebook too, it will be in their Contacts twice.
And I read the other day that Virgin Mobile accounts are pretty easy to hack.
ooh, another good reason to leave Virgin.
