I hadn't changed mine since I signed up over two years ago, and it wasn't offered on the website any more, so I wasn't surprised that it's being phased out.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I'd stay with Virgin Mobile if they didn't force me to add money every 3 months, and if their plan didn't give me free minutes, but not texts and data. I don't mind paying for texts and data, but it's stupid to have my plan focused on the one thing I use least.
I'm confused. I thought all VM plans were unlimited text and data.
Ah... so can you not do Beyond Talk with your phone? Or are they too pricey? Not trying to be pushy, just wondering.
I could, I just really don't use my phone that much.
Can anyone tell if this a legit email from Google? Because I didn't create a new email address, but I can't tell if this is phishing or hacking:

Did you sign up for something else that might have involved creating a Google account?
I don't think so. My name is spelled wrong and I haven't signed up for anything today. I've just been thinking about that guy whose Mac and iPhone were wiped.
Then yeah, I'd probably tell Google no.
OK, so I fixed the problem with my Apple TV. Which turns out to just have been a problem with my TV TV.
When I set up the TV three years ago, there was no grounded outlet by the TV so I just used a regular outlet instead. So now I tried plugging my TV into a grounded outlet via extension cord. Problem solved.
What made me think of that was how the Apple TV would make this popping static even with nothing playing. The popping reminded me of static electricity, which made me remember the TV wasn't grounded.
So now I'm playing "Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before" by the Smiths on my iPhone through my TV and stereo without any visible connection from my iPhone.
