Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, what they're talking about is not how I use flickr at all, nor would I have been happy if it ended up that way. I also don't feel like it's a wasteland. The users I'm interacting with are still actively posting photos.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

nor would I have been happy if it ended up that way

When they added the identity tagging I was a bit surprised, and then started to fervently hope no one would be tagging me in anything. That is not what I want from them. No, no.

Can I just bitch for a moment that this hotel is supposed to have good wifi and I planned to chill in the nice suite tomorrow and work, but no. Their wifi is shitty and I can only use my phone cell signal and not wifi (and therefore not my iPad either). Dammit.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

meara, I have found that to be true of every hotel I've ever stayed in. In-room internet, wired or wireless, is always clunky and slow.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

java, thanks for the offer, but I did a character estimate and it wasn't enough; I doubled it and it still wasn't enough; tripled it and it still wasn't enough. I did the estimate by creating a Word file with dummy text and the appropriate number of words, got the character count, added about half. And, as I said, there didn't seem to be any setting that would provide enough. Either they're overwriting or there's a glitch in there.

Our wings are not tired.

Hmmm, I did wonder about the overwriting! Silly people! Okay, but if you get stuck in the future, let me know. I've got special publishing tools for pdfs (Adobe and Word publishing are my specialty).

huh ... how about I send you the rasenfrasen file - if you could take a look at it and tell me where I went wrong (or the program screwed up)? I'd really appreciate it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Grr. I spent all of this time downloading random stuff from iTunes to watch on my trip and for some reason, I can't find it on the iPad. When I go to the videos icon, it says that I have nothing in the library. when I go back to iTunes, it says that the eps have already been downloaded.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

My things either show up in Videos or ITunes U. I know all videos default to "movies" though. Which is annoying when I know the files of tv shows are clearly right in iTunes. Maybe they are hiding there?

On my iPad, when I go into Videos, I have three sections listed at the top: Movies, TV Shows and Music Videos.

I know there's an option in iTunes to not include video files in your sync. Did you check that?
