Technological/musical people: My father is looking for a keyboard to plug into his computer. He doesn't need it to be flashy, but would like more than an octave or two. Anybody have models they've had success with, or ones to avoid?

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Which, pray tell, is the Mother of all Malls?
(Asks the guy who lives near the first enclosed shopping mall, and also near the biggest in the US...)
I thought Canada had the biggest.

I've had good luck with the M-Audio Keystation's. They have them in various sizes. Decent, cheap, and a USB connection.

yes. That's why I specified the US.
Edmonton has the biggest in the world, I could not remember if the fleas lived near that one.
Daniel, this mother isn't the biggest anything -- it's just more over-the-top silly pretentious tacky pretending-to-be-something-better-than-a-mall than anything else within a few hundred miles of central NC.
But they did have the first Apple store in the area. So in spite of all that, I can't completely hate them even though I avoid them at all times.
It's not officially, or even widely, known as the Mother of All Malls or anything - that's just our private nickname. It's pretty behemoth for the region, though. This gives you a little sense of its overscale: [link]
