smonster, for a while with Atlanta I was using something called like, "textplusgold"--it functioned just like the regular text app, but you had to give everyone a SEPARATE text message number. And every once in a while it would eat a text. ...these days I'd recommend only texting people who have iPhones, because then it's free. ;)

Did I ever mention I radiate pure awesome? Possibly enough to fuel a webserver, but it certainly let me go in and mark a task complete just before I replied to you.

Anyone know anything about cable modem phones? My phone (through the cable company) cut out about three days ago. I tried resetting the cable modem repeatedly, etc. I called their help but they weren't very helpful. I managed to figure out if I plug my phone directly into the modem (instead of modem-into-wall), it works. But that's not helpful--I don't want to make all calls via a phone tied into that! Anyone have an easy answer before I sit for half an hour (on my cellphone minutes) with a new helpdesk guy?

Argh. Half an hour on the phone (which is to say, burning up my cell minutes) and the guy basically said "well, must be something on your end". GRRR.

ETA: I'm paying for a tech to come out, and hoping he'll magically fix things, but my point to them is if the only phone service I can get is when it's attached to the modem, I want to cancel the service because it's not worth it to me.

Also, can I associate multiple tasks with a single context profile in Tasker? Like, I have a task named "Class" that switches my ringer to vibrate, but turns my media up and keeps my screen alive, so I can quickly play reference tracks. I use that same "Class" task at each of my school locations profiles. But now I want to add the Astrid to-do list filters for each location. So it needs to be a different task for each school.
