one of the best features of AVPlayer is wifi transfers. makes things even easier to transfer over.

Can AVPlayerHD access files on my network drive? I have all my videos connected to hard drive on aiport base station. I currently use Air Video, but that needs a host computer to act as a video server. Which is fine, as it uses very little processing. But I'd really love an app that I can say "look in this folder on the airport and play this file"!
It looks like what it does is get the file from your computer and copy it to the ipad. it does not accept streaming.
You can put in an ftp address, but you will still need to copy files from the ftp address to the ipad.
I think Air Video might continue to be your best solution.
