I think in this case it would be wise to take out the extended warranty, as I hear Best Baby is now charging a restocking fee for exchanges. Mostly I don't endorse the extra cost, but you put a lot of work into an infant.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
So is the sprog 802.11n or the older 802.11g?
Oh, grr.
Connected my work Blackberry 8700 to my laptop's BluePhoneElite, and it keeps dropping the connection. If this is a Blackberry-wide problem, I'm not switching to a Pearl.
Anyone know off the top of your head--if you get a new phone with AT&T and sign up for your next two years--you're not unsigned up just because you return the phone, eh?
my Harmony Remote is here! One-handed TV/Tivo/DVD/sound system navigation-while-breastfeeding here I come!
Be prepared to make adjustments to the remote so that you get it working exactly how you want it. It doesn't always get it perfect on the first try, but it's very easy to adjust the programming.
ita, my guess is that they'll want to keep you contracted. Just a guess though.
Oh! Also.... Question for Tivo peeps.
My dad recent switched to DirectTV (with DVR), so as a belated birthday present to me, he gave me his old Series 2 Tivo.
Anybody have any idea how I can figure out how big it is without plugging the damned thing in and turning it on?
Also, if and when I do decide to subscribe to Tivo (I'm about to do a budget, then try and figure out if we can do better on any of our services), will I have to physically reset the box to change owners on it, or anything like that?
Actually, Sean, you should be able to just connect it, turn it on, and go through the menu to the Info menu. It's only when it tries to make a call and update the info it has that you'd run into problems, so a short term exploration won't hurt anything at all.
Good to know. Thanks, Theo.

Yes, there should be a model number on the back. Based on that you can track down the size.
Also, Sean, if you are still around pop on IM for a sec.
I'll be on shortly, Trillian is updating.
