Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Ah-ha, finally, the answer to actual question:

There is not yet an iPad/iPhone app, but they're working on it. You will be able to view and refocus living pictures via the iPad and iPhone app, when they are released. Note that you will NOT be able to transfer pictures directly from the Lytro Camera to your iPad or iPhone. These apps are only for viewing living pictures, and an active internet connection will be required. Right now, you can still experience living pictures at lytro.com via the native mobile browsers on your iPad and iPhone.

They're offering storage on lytro.com for photos, as I understand it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That makes it sound like you can't store them locally, which is weird. I mean, they're yours, and it's just about the app that's fancy, no?

No, you can store them locally, on your Mac... and soon on your PC. But not on Linux.

I'm just trying to avoid c&p'ing everything from there to here in my enthusiasm.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee, enthuse away. I like catching it.

Ok, I just spent half an hour doing it, but I set up a Bedtime profile which triggers a Shush task (my terms) and I am so happy. I am so buying this for the SO and setting it up for him.

Does anyone use Pages for the iPad? What do you think of it?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have it, I haven't used it much. I've really only used it for minor tweaking of existing documents, and it's fine for that.

I don't love the mechanics of syncing through the iCloud - actually syncing between iPad and iPhone is pretty okay, but going to and from the laptop is clunky. If I was mostly working on the iPad it might be better, actually.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I need help coming up with a name for my photo Tumblr.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Vortex,

let me ask you a question, what is your intent for using Pages?

Illicit? I kid. But what kinds of things do you want to do.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Scola, I have no suggestions (Although I like the "here, have some photos" subtitle), but I wanted to share my "damn, but he can take photos" reaction.
