Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There's a difference between jailbreaking and unlocking. Unlocking gives you carrier independence, and jailbreaking lets you to install apps that don't come from Apples app store.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jailbreaking doesn't unlock? I thought it was a superset.

You can jailbreak without unlocking. You (effectively) need to jailbreak in order to unlock, though. Carriers can unlock their phones without jailbreaking.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

My cousin's boys (who are in elementary school) asked for PS3 headsets. Any recommendations?

Thanks, Tom.

What free remote control software should I install on my father's computer so I can support him from over here? Or is there a web site app that someone recommends?

All is well that ends in pizza.

I use LogMeIn to support family. The first 30 days you have full features, after that you still get free remote control, and have to come up with your own file transfers or pay them for better features.

The basic is free, though, and I can connect between Macs and PCs, and I think they have phone apps, now.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I love logmein and they have iphone and ipad apps that work really well.

In addition to logmein, you might want to look into gotomypc or gotoassist.

Logmein tries really hard to pitch Pro, obviously, but with so little grounds for the feature set. I've installed Free on my father's computer.

And I've decided to give him Microsoft Security Essentials. I'll let my sister go with whatever year long free trial thingy she got with the laptop and then recommend AVG for her.

Anyone here on the Windows phone train?
