I'm having a real disconnect with an application that wants you to fire up a browser to work even if you don't have an internet connection. It's WEIRD, dammit.

I love LastPass, but I only use it for web passwords. I can see how it might suck for other passwords.
I love 1password: it is available for windows, but I use it on the mac and iphone and I really dig it.
Nah, I'm not spending $25 on password software on her for Christmas. It's kind of anticlimactic.
then is there a secure note application? that might work the same way as a password app that she might not want to save in the browser?
What I like about the password app is that it calls out URL, user ID, password, etc.
Of course, you could just do it in a password-enabled spreadsheet, but where's the fun in that?
I'm probably going to go with Keeper. I'll have to stare at it some more when I get home.
Anyone else having recent battery drain issues with an iPhone 3GS and iOS 5.0.1? All of a sudden today, the battery drained to 0 in 2 hours. I recharged at work, pulled it off the charger at 5:30, and at 7:20 it was down to 82%. By 9:10, it was down to 43%. I did a full backup and restore but I don't think it fixed the issue. It just started today. The Genius Bar was useless. Blamed it on me having too many tasks running. If so, then why didn't it happen last week when I updated?
I am not happy.
Edit: Oh and this is the work phone, so I'm limited in what I can do to fix it. I can't unlink my exchange account until I can talk to IT tomorrow.
This might be due to the OS 5 battery bug.
I have not had it happen, but people have been complaining about it off and on. I thought it was just a 4s issue, but I wonder if it is an OS 5 issue.
How long have you had the 3 GS? The battery might just be giving up the ghost.
MFNLaw I've had the issue with the 4S and turning off the automatic timezone determination in settings resolved it for me. It mysteriously came back recently and again that setting had been turned on, turning it off resolved the problem again. I also closed all my applications in case one of them was the culprit.
it's probably the location service constantly running, Maria. go to Settings->Location Services->Turn off everything that isn't necessary, like Maps.
