Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

I suspect the real purpose was opening up development of iPhone apps, and porting Safari was the side effect. (And I'll eat my hat if the web clip gizmo for the dashboard isn't the same thing under the hood.)
It all looks like pretty good stuff from Apple. I should have one of the new MacBook Pro 17" models with the high resolution displays arriving at the end of the week. Looks like I'll be buying Leopard for it in a few months.

I'm seeing a lot of negative reactions to the keynote out there because there weren't new hardware gadgets, but I'm really excited about Leopard.
I know that folks like the hardware, but if you really stop and look at everything Leopard is doing, it's a pretty amazing piece of hardware. Besides, the only thing that really leaps to mind as needing an update currently is the Mac Mini.
And the iPod. It needs a 120 GB drive in a big way....

Yeah, I'm having a serious OSgasm. And I'll just pretend you meant "software" there.
Maybe the Leopard install DVD is covered in tiny nanobots that rewire your CPU....
