Vortex,

do you have an ipad?

I use 2 apps to manipulate PDFs. I like ibooks for reading PDFs, but goodreader works well. I like IAnnotate for marking up PDFs.

le nubian, do you find that you have problems getting onto websites with your iPad? That's my only sticking point about maybe getting one of those after Christmas.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Kathy, I love my iPad. I've had no trouble loading websites at all. Even the Flash issue won't be around for much longer, since Adobe is no longer developing it for mobile devices.

Why do you feel that it's an issue?

My sister has an iPad1 and the flash issue drives her bonkers when she surfs the web. I'll just tell her that she's obviously going to the wrong websites!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

What Maria said.

The built-in safari is great for most websites, but I do use Diigo Browser to save some websites to read later offline (I have a wifi only ipad).

BTW, here is a new kickstarter project where you can use an external drive, connect it to this wifi unit and then you can access the files on the external drive with an ipad or other device capable of connecting to a wifi network.

I haven't decided whether I will get it or not, since I'm happy with my Airstash, but maybe?

It's not that she's going to the wrong websites, it's that Flash for mobile is going to disappear eventually.

Have I noticed that Flash isn't working on certain websites? Yes. Does it drive me nuts? No. 98% of what I do and the sites I surf on the iPad don't involve Flash.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Have any of you iPad users tried the Dolphin browser? I think it's one of the most popular on Android, and I'm wondering if it's cool on iOS too.

it's okay. I am not quite sure why it so popular. I suppose it is because of the gestures, but since I use bookmarks so much, I would prefer an interface that allows me quick easy access to bookmarks then gestures.

I use it on my phone but not my tablet. Never used a gesture on it, though. The Honeycomb default browser is pretty nifty.

I use the Terra browser on my iPad.

I'm testing the HTC browser on my phone, then I will probably download a third-party application.
