Hey, I remember being directed to a free PDF writer program here once. Can someone remind me what that was again? I'm assuming the fact that Word isn't giving me "save to PDF" as an option is related to the fact that I only have Reader?

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
It's CutePDF: [link]
Cool, thanks!
Man, that could not have been any easier or more awesome! Sweet.
I know! I LOVE it!
I am going to lie facedown in my office and moan. I know tech support is a hard job, I really do know it. But needing tech support is tough, too.
Anyone got any ideas about the following printer problems:
1. My newly purchased HP Officejet 7310 all-in-one functions just fine as a standalone copy, etc. Functions fine hooked up to my computer by usb. But when connected via ethernet? Prints, but v. v. slowly. Like, 20 minutes slowly. Certainly slowly enough that it errs out for anything color, or with graphics, or really anything at all. Network is fine. Other printer on network is fine. All connected computers running XP. Any ideas?
2. My older, purchased used, IBM InfoPrint20 refuses to print envelopes. It errs out immediately, telling me it's got a paper problem. Initially happened when I tried to use the aux tray. But I bought a envelope tray cartridge, and it happens using that, too. I didn't buy a service contract initially when I bought the machine, so now I guess I have to, and I have to pay, probably royally, for the service call. But I dunno what else to do.

Is it set for DHCP or static IP? Is the other one? Check what you can as variables.
DHCP.
Another iPhone question answered:

The New York Times is reporting that, after Jobs flirted with the idea during his interview at D5, Apple will release a software development kit for the iPhone at WWDC his year (June 11). This is great, since Apple has been pretty secretive about letting third party developers do apps for the iPhone. I wonder if it will be integrated into Xcode.
If there is an iPhone SDK released, integration with Xcode is a no-brainer. Here's hoping Xcode 3.1 or whatever they drop at WWDC wraps up all of the nagging little mysteries extant since Leopard was (partially) revealed.
