Guys, can you to tell me if CIO.com is a pretty good, reputable tech website?

I can't say too much, but I have kind of an offer from them that would net me no money, but exposure, and I'm wondering if the time vs. potential profit would be worth it.

Do a lot of tech people read it?

Because I slack at connecting external drives.

This is me. I should do that when I take a break from writing.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

What browsers are people using with Lion? Clearly my old Firefox is not the answer as it is mega-crashy. I need to go see why I hadn't updated before - could have had a reason, could have just been lazy.

I skimmed the last 1,000 messages but never saw browser talk in relation to Lion. I did see that they killed Front Row which makes me sad. I didn't use it before but I was planning to!

Oddly, I got (okay, am getting) used to the messed up, backwards scrolling on the trackpad pretty easily. It's wrong but I figure I might as well adapt.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I haven't had any problems with Firefox.

I spent a week going back and forth between laptops and I was constantly confused by that. I seemed to adapt to the scroll as if it were a touch screen pretty quickly though.

I still need to find compatible software for my camera.

What version?

I am running 3.6 and OMG they want to give me 7.0? How did I miss so many versions? Yikes!

Cass,

I like Chrome quite a bit with Lion.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I am having trouble downloading iTunes for 64-bit Windows. Is the website jacked or something? It hangs if I try downloading in Firefox, and it isn't able to download from IE either. Is it bad to install regular iTunes on a 64-bit machine?

Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 help needed, if possible.

It works fine if I use clips I download from youtube. It does not like my DVD rips and crashes the second I try to play them in the timeline either as a clip or as a project.

I use DVDShrink to rip the clips, and VDub to convert to an avi.

I googled my problem and saw multiple comments that the latest Quicktime is incompatible, so I unistalled it and installed the recommended version. Still crashing. I can't exactly go to Corel tech support and say "hey, I'm doing something unlawful, can you help me with that?"
