That's what I saw online, but I could have sworn I just heard the guy on radio say "If you are one of the lucky ones in line at the Apple store tomorrow, you can leave with a new iPhone"
Which also got me wondering if you buy the iPhone from Apple or CIngular/AT&T.

I'm very briefly tempted, being a jobfree type person who could theoretically wait in line at the Apple Store about a mile.5 from here. But then I expect the alpha version to be buggish and annoying.

cingular comes with a 30 day MBG. So theoretically, if someone buys an iphone and hates it, they should be able to return it.

A new street-level zoom feature on Google Maps debuted recently, to much freakout and fanfare... The company performing the drive-by surveillance and image capture services for Google is Immersive Media, and here's a blog post from the PR guy who reps them. What a scary/cool little 11-sided camera that is on the "Street Level View-Mobile."
I love the 11-sided camera. Looks like something Darth Vader would use (but I think a VW Bug would be about the last car Vader would drive).
