Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
if that is impractical, now is a good time to buy a printer (back to school sales are pretty good).
Along those lines, would it be cheaper to buy a printer from your looniversity computer store? Technically, you're still entitled to the educator discount.
in my case, the education discount applies at the vendor level and not only at the store. So Dell and Apple are where I can get discounts.
Nope, they stopped making the model, so they never bothered to do a driver for vista. If you'd upgraded to vista, it would have worked, but there's no new driver.
I'm going to try to driver for Windows 2k, sometimes that works.
And now I'm sorry I didn't get 0609, it's my dad's birthday backwards (they didn't have 0906, I checked)
Vortex,
you might want to look at gazelle.com and see if they will give you $$ for the printer (or any other gadgets you may have). That might help toward the purchase of a new printer.

I clicked "next" until there was no more "next" to click. Call me a completist.
No, I saw it, i just didn't process it. I looked at them all. And of course I was feeling all of this pressure since they had run out last time.
Thanks everyone. You successfully un-paralyzed me.

Yup. There's only so many DC numbers, and it's one of the iconic area codes. Good for the job search since it doesn't force a choice between MD and VA. Even if I end up moving completely out of the area, it seems less regional than a 301 or 703 phone number.

Also at Staples.

All the Epsons seem to eventually get terminal ink clogs, but it takes several years.

I've had good success with Samsung Lasers. I still have a very old ML-1710 that's a tank and all I had to do to install it in Windows 7 was plug in the USB cable.

I also have a Samsung multifunction duplex network printer that I'm not as happy with because the automatic document feeder for the scanner/fax is finicky. Like it as a printer though, especially for the duplexing.
