Hey. New board.

Xscope looks like it has potential. A bit slower than Opera, but more than fast enough and I can turn off the tab bar.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The tabs at the top of my Dolphin screen disappear when I scroll down past the top of the page. I can get them back by pressing menu or scrolling back up, but they don't continually take up real estate. Why do they bother you so?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I had to come here to geek out -- Dan and I bought our birthday present to each other today: a Nook Color.

I've wanted an ereader for yonks, and we decided it needed to be a Nook, since I have 140+ B&N books, and we gulped, looked at our bday present money for each other and from fam (my mom early bday'd me since she knew we were thinking mutual ereader) and we decided that since we lust for a tablet AND need an ereader, the Nook Color was a good compromise.

So far, I unboxed it, updated the firmware and have gotten M an issue of Natl Geo Kids, which looks effin' amazing, and an Angry Birds app -- which M says, with his actual very critical kid's eye, looks better on the Nook than his stepdad's iPad, and a very cool drawing app.

And the ereader is very nice, and has some supercool look up, notes and share quotes capabilities that I will be using for reviews for sure.

It's a little heavier than the Kindle, and has about 8 hours of battery power, but I've given it the reading in bed on my back and on my side test, and it passes very well.

SO. FREAKIN. HAPPY.

I just find scrolling a tab bar left and right to find other tabs to be very inefficient compared to a pop-up screen that lets you visually swipe through them. The dolphin tab bar only holds 2 or 3 tabs at one time without scrolling.

Xscope doesn't let you select text, so I'm back to Opera.

You know, using those browsers on Honeycomb, on a tablet? Whole different experience. They can't have been tablet optimised this whole time, can they?

Hey. New board.

I don't think so. I imagine Dolphin is great on a tablet. Someday, maybe, though probably not: my new job is giving me a traditional tablet PC (running full Windows, not a more modern slate) as the students use them in class.

Trust my rage

I just upgraded to Lion and now when I try to do the 2 finger scroll, I have to move my fingers down to move the screen up, if that makes any sense. I think they reversed it. Am I crazy? Is there a way to switch it back. Because down should be down.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I think they reversed it.

Yes, they did.

Am I crazy?

Please consult a qualified medical professional.

Is there a way to switch it back.

Yes, in the Mouse preference pane.

Because down should be down.

Down is down. You swipe down, and the content in the window moves down.

Trust my rage

All is now right with the world. Down is, once again, down.

Thank you, Tom.
