The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

My only complaint about Firefox is that it is slow to launch initially.

Quick check on this system:

Chrome12: 8 seconds
Safari5: 8 seconds
IE9: 11 seconds
FF5: 16 seconds

YMMV

Hey. New board.

(shrug) I launch it once per boot. It does seem to use a bit more of my CPU than chrome, but I just don't care very much.

Android users: do any of you root your phone? Pros and cons?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Dana,

I switched to Chrome from FF and nearly every extension I want is available on Chrome. Can you tell me which ext you are looking for and I might be able to help you find the chrome alt.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I miss Webmail, which let me check my accounts across various services, and I had a tab manager that grouped tabs by color.

Coding and Sleeping

I'm pretty happy with Firefox 5 which I use on Windows at home and on Linux at work, though I prefer Chrome's development tools over firebug. Firefox is more tweakable though.

I haven't noticed anything about start-up times but I haven't timed anything. Off my home desktop's SSD it feels pretty much instantaneous.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

FF5 will be ok once TabKit updates its extension. It trips me up when tabs get overwritten by default.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

OMG, I keep forgetting my phone can be a hotspot and T-Mobile has unlimited internet. They don't cap, but they do throttle. Still, it's better than nothing, when you're in the middle of wherever.

It's pretty cool! As long as you have a good network connection, it will generate a comparably badass Wi-Fi signal.

Hey, I'm updating my word processor on my home computer (I used to just use my work laptop). I have Office XP and Office 2003, which is better?
