Can anyone explain what Microsoft InfoPath is? One of my main clients just sent a notice that I need to start using it in August and the call center of our IT department gave me the stupid look. They are escalating the issue, but who knows when I will hear back from them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My god. I have a peculiar aversion to checking my voicemail. I can't explain it. It's not phone anxiety, because there's no one to speak to. In fact, I'd rather speak to someone than check my voicemail.

I love Google Voice. Their transcription is by no means perfect, but it's certainly good enough (unless it's my sister talking) for me to feel comfortable with not listening to the message any time soon.

ita, I am so you in that. I get totally unreasonably irritated at people who leave me voicemails.

I have to remember to not give out my home number, because I can let that voicemail go unchecked for weeks. Silly blinky light.

My home phone doesn't blink, it beeps on the dial tone. And since I never give anyone my home number except vendors and so forth, I never remember to check it.

Which is a problem when my father leaves a message and I don't pick it up for three weeks.

People, you have my cell #! Why not use it?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

So much this.

I am ridiculously excited for my new phone because I will have visual voicemail and can listen OUT OF ORDER. Which means I can keep avoiding some of the voicemail! Bless.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have att phone service (at home) and they have an iphone app (!) that alerts me when there are voicemail messages.

thrilling!

So I get notified once every 3 months that I have a message waiting and that message is usually from Att telling me there is a new feature on my acct that I don't need.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, the SO never checks his voicemail. Which irritates me to no end. He just calls the person back and says, hey, I saw your call, but I didn't get your message, and then the person has to say it all over again. And then if there were actions required, the SO has to hang up and do whatever and then call back.

So I never leave him messages.

Anyone not on dropbox who'd like to be? I've found it a great way to share big files for free. I'm pimping it because I need even more than the initial 2GB they give you and I get extra space with each referral. So here's my referral link: [link]
