Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Can you guys help me make a call? I want to get the cheapest laptop possible. Each of these is $300:

- Compaq - Presario Laptop / AMD V-Series Processor / 15.6" Display / 2GB Memory / 250GB Hard Drive - available today

- Toshiba - Satellite Laptop / Intel® Celeron® Processor / 15.6" Display / 3GB Memory / 250GB Hard Drive - not available til next week

I think the Toshiba is objectively better, because of the memory, right? But I want it NOW! t /Veruca Salt

Ha! The Compaq is basically what I have now (from 3 years ago), and I am pretty comfortable with its level of sucking.

Never mind--amych tried to help, but I apparently don't have mine set up right--I was hoping to find it if it's lost/stolen and make it make noise, etc.
