So who knows Javascript? I can't remember exactly how this works...
Say I got this bit of HTML (The WritePayPeriodCombo() is ASP and will be replaced before the client machine sees it):
<select name="cboPayPeriod" id="cboPayPeriod" LANGUAGE="javascript" onchange="return cboPayPeriod_onchange();"><%WritePayPeriodCombo()%></select>
Does it make any difference whatsoever in this html what the cboPayPeriod_onchange() function returns? I sorta remember that for this sort of thing, Javascript functions should return 'false', but I'm not sure.
eta: The reason I'm asking is currently cboPayPeriod_onchange() always returns 'false,' but the function is called in other places besides here, and I want it to return 'true' sometimes....
Kinda cool new laptop from Intel. They say it will be manufactured by some PC Maker late 2007 or 2008. 0.7 inches thick and 2.25 pounds.

I don't know enough about how they cool off laptops, but a laptop that thin sounds like it's just begging for heat problems.
It uses your crotch as a heatsink.
But only if you're man enough.
I feel old-fashioned, but as much as I like the epaper folio cover, part of me screams MAGNETS!!!! AIEEEE!!!
Without a hard drive, it should run a whole lot less hot.
But I wouldn't discount the heatsink factor altogether.
I searched this thread and I couldn't find an answer to this question. I'm thinking about buying a new laptop in 2-8 months and I am going over the question: mac or pc?
If I decide to get a mac, is there a website or something that can give me info on what kind of software I may need to buy for the mac that is seen as "must haves?"
Does firefox work well on the mac (because I probably use that software app more than any other)? I can get Office through work I figure if macbooks don't come loaded with it.
How much of a pain is it to move pc files over to a mac?
are there accessories I need if I go the macbook route?
I've got a MacBook. I was playing around with iChat today, and now, even though I shut down all the programs that were using the iSight, the little green light next to it is still on. I shut down and restarted the computer, and the light is still on. How do I shut the camera off? The help menu was entirely unhelpful.
