Things that are annoying me about Firefox 4: it's harder to get to the list of bookmarks; there are things I use all the time that I don't want on my toolbar (like here). And when I right-click, they've switched the positions of the links to open in a new tab vs. a new window. Now tab is first, which is better, but I am so used to going to the second link automatically that I keep opening things in new windows which is annoying!

Wow. $1.50/issue for the New Yorker might actually be worth it: [link]
Pretty sure the print edition is less than that and it comes with the web-based version as a gift with purchase.
Print edition is $10 more per year.

Sorry, you are correct. Though they sometimes have deals that would make it cheaper.
Ram for an older computer. Corsair is $54.Kingston in $78. Identical specs. Worth the difference? Or Ram is Ram? Also looking on Amazon. Better site?
To take a page from flea's book -- Thing that is annoying me about Firefox 4 -- the history button next to that back button is gone. Yes, you can look at the history, but it gives the history for all tabs, not the one that you were on. So, for example, you're doing a google search, and click on a few links from the original search, you can't just click on the history and go back to where you want to be. grr.
Also, is there a difference in the quality of HDMI cables? I didn't think so, but I've been having some issues with the tivo, and am wondering if it was just a cheap HDMI cable ($10 at target) or do I need something more expensive.

You should be able to click and hold on that back button to get to the history. Which I agree is annoying and a needless step back.
No difference in HDMI cables, apparently. If you're getting non-sparkly picture, it's not the cable.
What issues are you having?
What kind of tivo issues? I've been having some issues, but I suspect it's the cable card.
The moving of the "new tab" button totally threw me (especially because I didn't immediately upgrade to FF4 on all my computers). But due to some drama while moving to the new one, I'm now using Chrome.
