Appshopper
I read that as Asspopper and thought, shoot, I need me an iPod!
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

they may indeed have an app for that.
That was a great article, DCJ, thanks for passing it along.
Be sure and check under "Genius" in the App Store for iPad upgrades from your iPhone apps.
t, do you mean in iTunes, or on the iPad itself?
On the iPad.
Beloved laptop running Firefox 3.6 is a zombie at the moment, and the new laptop has Firefox 4 loaded. I use tabs a lot. A lot. One feature I'm used to is tab history, within the tab. Frex, if somebody on b.org posts a link to a picture in their flickr account and I get lost looking at "this picture also in Other Pretty Stuff", I've been able to drop down the in-that-tab history and click the link I want to go back to, rather than hitting the back button ninety-mumble times.
I haven't been able to find that feature in FF4--does anyone know if it was eliminated completely? Or just well-hidden? And if the latter, can anyone tell me where it's hidden so I can find it and turn it on? Back button gonna be worn out before the rest of the keyboard....
Ooh, I'd like the answer to that question too, as I used to use that feature.
And while we're on the subject of FF4, is it just me who's finding it really slow? I was wondering if it was the effect of an add-on, so I uninstalled a few, but to no improvement.
I don't know how to filter it by activity with a tab, but ctrl+h will bring up your browsing history in a sidebar, and there are various grouping options as well as a search feature there.
OK, so my 2006 Macbook is getting on in years. And starting to act a little funky, even though I updated the OS a few months ago. Possibly I just need to be nicer to it, or possibly it's getting sad. Must remember to back up soon.
Anyway, I've been thinking about, for once, replacing BEFORE complete failure (shocking). But what I really want, for travel, is an ipad.
So two questions--
1) If I got an ipad and la la la went traveling with it...would there be any problems if/when this computer went belly up?
2) If I get an ipad, I figure I'll want one with more than wifi, since while I'm often in wifi areas, I'm also often not. Should I get Verizon, or AT&T? (Mind you, my iphone is AT&T, and I've not had any problems, other than occasionally in San Francisco, so I'm not super biased)
