Hmmm. My 17" MacBook Pro is less than two years old. And a few weeks ago I bought an 11" MacBook Air, which I totally love, as I can carry it about in its shoulder bag and not even feel the weight. Only 2 1/2 pounds!
So no new MacBook Pro for me for a while.
Bought my MBP in late 2008. No compelling reason for me to upgrade yet.
Oh! I bought a Pioneer BDP-330. Which has youtube access. Which is nice. Except I can't work out how to enter anything other than numbers with the remote, which makes it useless for anything other than browsing. I can't find any explanation on the web for how to do more.
Anyone know?
tommy,
I just got a new MBA 11" for work and I really love it. I am going to feed it cookies and milk.
Cool!
I now have about a half-hour train ride each way to work, so I've been using mine to write fiction while on the train. (I may buy one of those mobile hotspot thingies so I can has internets on choo-choo as well.)
you must have a mind like a steel trap. If I don't have 2-3 hours to write, I cannot write anything.
Heh. Writing on the train does make the time fly. Often I'm like, "Wait, we're already here? Shit." One of these days I'm gonna miss my stop.
ION, I've volunteered to fix a friend's broken MacBook LCD display. Anybody ever buy Apple laptop screens online? These are what she's found:

For this listing, we will ship you a brand new OEM Compatible LCD screen manufactured either by Samsung, LG, Chi Mei, Chunghwa, Sharp, or AUOptronics.
Does that sound good?
Sometimes I write stuff in 10 minute bits, 'cause that's the only time I got.
I adore my 11" MacBook Air. I'm pretty amazed at how much power this little wonder can pack. I've even been able to do some audio editing on it in ProTools with no issues.
