Hulu Plus is active on my Roku now. Don't know about other devices.

I am stuck doing familial tech support. Has anyone ever installed a wireless router on ATT DSL service? I have read many complaints about how difficult it is, all with conflicting solutions. No matter what I do, I end up with a wireless signal that is not connecting to the internet.

So I got access to a couple of files that should be rar archives, but when I run UnRarX on them, it claims they're not. I'm sort of at a loss. I mean, they say they're RAR archives, and yet it's not happening.

Any ideas? I'm on a Macbook.

I'm sure that we've discussed this before, but what is the hivemind stance on Vizio flatscreens? My TV is making wierd noises, and taking almost 10 seconds to turn on. Also, it will sometimes sloooooowly get a picture, then turn itself off again. I'm thinking now is a good time for a new TV, with the sales and all.

The Vizio sets do okay in ratings on picture quality but they aren't the best for longevity. As I have said in the past, I'm a big fan of Samsung for LCD panels.

My upstairs neighbor has a Samsung flatscreen that seems to work well. I'm quite happy with my LG.

RAR archives are typically split out into a bunch of smaller files, it's possible you don't have all the pieces. Are the files as big as you think they should be?

Consuela,

download the trial of BetterZip and see if you can peek in the rar file and download the file inside.

Ginger,

I had no idea installing a wireless router on ATT DSL was such a problem. Do you think you need to try a different kind of router?

We have a wireless router and ATT DSL and don't have trouble. But I didn't install it, so I can't be much help, except to state that it is possible.

I have wireless through AT&T and don't recall any problems with the install or use (except that one time when Pix was here and I couldn't remember the WEP code and ran around like a crazy person looking for it while she laughed and laughed).
