2027 bookmarks. ARGH.
Oh, lord. I can't even imagine.
First OB and now this!!!
Seriously!
Does xmarks host the links on the web? Firstly, I don't see an Opera logo there, and secondly, I don't want those bookmarks on my browser. I want an external tagging and organisation system that's
better
than bookmarks.
So what is the preferred Delicious replacement?
I'm hearing a bit about pinboard. [link] It's $7.04. I'm sort of waiting to see what else pops up.
I saw this on Twitter: Use the Delicious -to- @zotero import and get with the program [link]
I use Zotero and it is okay. Not as simple as delicious. But free.
According to the Pinboard comparison page for "should you stay or should you go", they don't have a Firefox plugin. So does that mean I'd need to handcopy any link I want to save into Pinboard?
Elsewhere amych is recommending diigo: [link]
I know I'm just cranky, but so far I hate all those alternatives. None of them have a clear front page like delicious. I just want to bookmark something, people!
Still, I signed up for diigo just to see.
Diigo has potential. It allows you to upload your exported delicious bookmarks. Right now it's processing my 996 or so. And it has a Firefox toolbar thingy.
Diigo was getting a lot of talk on Twitter when I checked.
