S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Fay, do you mean the tracks aren't playing on the iPod itself? Or they aren't playing when you're connected to the computer?

It sounds like a simple sync issue, though I don't recall it being set to sync automatically when I was putting music on it in January.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I mean the tracks are not playing on the iPod. They are not playing on the laptop. They are not playing here at work on this computer. A little exclamation mark comes up next to the song, when viewing iTunes; on the iPod itself, it shows you the title and all that, but then dashes on to the next song. Which is skips. And the next. And the next. And the next. And then it plays some crappy thing that I didn't even know I had on there.

I am very sad.

What does this mean?

eta

I have managed to authorise the work computer to play music purchased online (not that it ever needed authorising before), but still no go.

I am very sad.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Fay,

the songs you loaded in the UK...did you load them only to the ipod, or do you have a computer backup somewhere on a home computer?

What you need to do is see if your music is still on the Ipod or not. Are you on windows?

You might have to purchase software to get this done. The main thing I would recommend until you figure this out is do not allow your ipod to sync anywhere else. I might be able to come up with a few more suggestions if I know the above.

Nah, it's not synced. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm running some troubleshooting.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Fay, I've had problems with an iPod refusing to play most of the songs on it. Unfortunately, the only solution was to reformat the iPod and reload the music onto it. However, I didn't have the problem with any iTunes library then, so you may have other options.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, the company that makes the iPod hard drives has come out with a new 120 GB model (the same size as its iPod drives). Are there any rumors as to if/when we'll be seeing 120 GB iPods?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Not really, though it has been a while since Apple has updated the full-sized iPod.

The relationship of the drive-making company (Toshiba? I can't remember, it's been a couple months since they announced the 120gig) to Apple is pretty solid, so I think it's a safe assumption that we'll be getting 120s. And god, I could use one. Not that I'm going to buy one, having just gotten the 80 (which is, of course, full).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I seem to recall hearing the direction they were going in was with flash memory. They may not keep going up the traditional HD path, or they may do both. But they are in bed with Samsung, I think, for flash drives, and they've been expanding their capacity.
