Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

DropBox [link] is good.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I feel like such a newbie asking this. At work, I have a lovely new MacBook Pro. For the life of me, I can't get drag/drag lock tappy/swipe thing to work. Yes, I have them selected in the system pref's. I just can't seem to be able to double click a menu bar and have the thing lock to it, so I can move the window around and lift my finger off the touch pad. I've tried click, I've tried double tap (but not clicking), and about to try bashing my head into the damn thing, but I don't think that will work. Is there some silly tip/trick that works? I feel like I need to take a remedial CS class now.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Liese,

Rob is right about dropbox, but I also use Cloud - [link]

Cloud has a size limit, so you can't send big video, but music files, etc. are fine.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

So I got me that Samsung Intercept android phone via Virgin. So far so good! What are some indispensable android apps?

So far, I've got Dropbox, Lookout (anti-virus -- is it really necessary?), Opera Mini, QuickMark (barcode scanner), Retro Camera (is there a better Hipstamatic-styled app for the 'droid?), and TuneSync (the only one I've paid for, it lets you sync to your iTunes... wirelessly!).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is Opera Mini free? The Dolphin browser is pretty good.

Courtesy of other Buffistas and random surfing I have and use:

  • Dolphin Browser
  • 3Banana (notes)
  • Advanced Task Killer
  • Aldiko (rendered less useful now that I have a Nook, and if I had Android > 1.5, I'd just use the Nook app)
  • Apex uninstaller
  • Astro (file manager--key)
  • Flashlight
  • Gmail
  • Keeper (password manager)
  • Pandora
  • OneTouch Timer Free
  • StarContact

Dammit! Last time I'd checked, Opera Mini wasn't. Off to get it now.
