yeah, I switched to google reader for the same reason. I also like the keyboard commands to quick go through feeds.
Spidra, can we help you transition to google reader?

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

Spidra, Bloglines will let you export a list of your blog subscriptions, which you can then import into Google Reader (saving you from having to enter them all by hand).
Google reader is better, but I switched to Bloglines because some Google reader was causing my computer to crash. (Not reader's fault: this is an old computer and I suspect it was hitting a bad spot in the disk or in Ram or something of that sort.)
Thanks, le nubian. I think I'm just going to have to barrel through and over my UI objections. But I will certainly ask questions here when/if I encounter "huh?" moments.
Thanks, tommyrot. I exported them when I first joined Reader but I'll have to go through again to make sure I haven't missed some that I've added since. It doesn't help that there are some blogs I read mostly through FriendFeed.com
I just saw this! It's the feed I use, too. Oh, well, I'll go ahead and transfer it all tonight.
Is there a way to read Twitter in chronological order? I mean exactly the reverse of how it's presented?
a lot of apps let you do that, DCJ. do you read on your phone or on your computer?
Computer, Mac OSX tiger (10.4.11)
there are apps like Tweetdeck.
That's a bit more invasive that I had envisioned.
