Yeah, Apple is well known for having at least one item in stock everywhere within days.
OTOH? If they say June and bring it out "early" they get press. If they hit some snag, and it comes out in June, they "hit the mark."

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

And no mention of iLife/iWork at MWSF for like the first time ever.
Does it say when they are available Sean? I'm posting from my phone.
Nope, nothing at the Cingular site, either. You sign up for more information, just like at the Apple site.
I was suprised to see Apple announcing two (or three if you count the new Airport Express) products that you can't buy today and nothing that you can.
I was thinking the same thing -- compared to a lot of big announcements, they've had a really good record for the last few years of "here's the new thing... and you can order it as soon as the network congestion clears".
I was a little disappointed by this keynote, especially given that it had even more hype than usual: the TV thing was basically already announced but it's STILL not available, and the iPhone, while awesome in many ways, is even more not-available, plus I can't make myself get excited about a phone (and even less, one with a contract attached).
(The latter may just be a measure of how much I loathe phones -- put the same interface wizardry on bigger capacity and sell it as a next-gen widescreen touchscreen iPod with wireless capabilities and I expect I'd be the first drooling fangirl in line.)
You can order Apple tv now- according to the email I just got.
I think the phone looks fucking sweet. I'm all over that. I would love to get it in June, but I think I'll wait until October or so for it to get the bugs out.
Pete mentioned this in Bitches, but it got lost in the turnover:
Can you just imagine the looks on the faces of the Zune team today?
In MS word, when entering headers and footer, you know the little toolbar you get in header/footer mode that lets you set where page numbers start and such? I've managed to make it disapear. How do you get it back? (update - Word 2002, OS XP)
Typo, have you tried clicking back on the main body (essentially closing the edit header/footer function) then opening up the header/footer again?
Also check above and below the main document window. You may have accidentally turned it into a toolbar. And if you've stacked it at the end of another toolbar, it may be invisible, accessable only by clicking the double arrow at the right hand end of the longest toolbar.
