Hah! I am still contemplating kindle vs. ipad, but since you can get the kindle reader ON the ipad, I'm probably going to go for ipad...eventually. Though the shiny shiny apps will indeed be distracting, I fear moreso will be the sad sadness of not having the actual hard book filling up a shelf making me feel like I've got some real thing (but happy will be not filling half my suitcase on a trip cross country just because 10 hours of air travel means I need 10 books!)

Our wings are not tired.

My habit of playing bejeweled for an hour before actually doing anything useful on the iPhone makes me think having a Kindle will be very useful for, you know, reading.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, my iPhone interest has been effectively quelched. I ran into my downstairs neighbor today and she was asking what cell phone I had. I'm pissy that I drop calls a bunch on T-Mobile, but she has AT&T and has to go out to the alley to even make a call in the first place. The hell?

Back to Sprint or wait for Verizon, I guess. Anyone have an opinion on the new Sprint EVO? Looks kind of cool, and I've never had an issue with Sprint coverage.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The main complaint I've heard about the Evo is that it's the size of a small truck.

Ah, yeah. I thought I saw something that said it weighed like six ounces, which seemed like kind of a lot. And size is a big concern for me on cells since I don't always carry a bag. Anything bigger than my current (BB Curve) would have to be able to, like, pilot the space shuttle for me to go there. Nuts.

(And hell, not like it's urgent. BB contract is up in July but it's been better than usual on calls so I can live with it until I find something really worth it.)

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Pretty sure that this has been asked before, but what's a good free PDF converter for the PC?

Trust my rage

Does anyone here use Yahoo Small Business for their email? I'm trying to figure how (or if) IMAP is available but I haven't been able to find an answer.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

I use yahoo small business and have tried and failed to set up IMAP in the past. I'm pretty sure yahoo doesn't do IMAP at all (except some weird version on the iphone for the @yahoo.com address). I definitely can't get it going with my own domain.

ETA: Reading available options they only offer pop. It's been unreliable for me.
