Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Because I'm too lazy to google right now: If I set up a wireless router for my parents and their desktop doesn't have a wireless card or whatever, will I still be able to hook it into the cable directly?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Most wireless routers have some wired ports in the back - you should be able to plug into one of those.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yes.

I think all wireless routers also have places to plug a network cable or cables in.

x-posty.

Cool, thanks. I will look for that before I buy.

Has anyone used a tool like in/out cash?

I've heard good things about mint.com from a bunch of people and figure I'll switch over when my Microsoft Money hits its forced obsolescence.

I think meara uses it if you have specific questions.

Thanks megan. It looks like mint gets great reviews and inout is fairly new. Better to go with the established commodity, I guess.

I appreciate the pointer!

@Bonny Fides I have used mint.com and have recently tried Inoutcash.com and I have to say I really like inoutcash. They offer the same level of security and provide some great coaching features to help you stay on track. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the recommendation Jamar7. I have to say, I like the inout interface but my primary concern is security.

When they say 'the same security as banks use' I'm not all that comforted, though I guess anything online is at risk.

Oh and, Xilisoft worked...even added a menu that put each night of Alice on a different track. It took about 4 hours, and since I used the nonregistered version, there is a huge watermark in the middle.

The quality is not quite what I would prefer.

At this point,I'm thinking of just transferring the avi files to a jump drive and leaving it at that, for the moment.

Do indeed use mint, though could probably get more out of it. Am much looking forward to promised adding of easy ability to track cash, they say coming soon (this month or next?). Currently you have to split out from ATM withdrawals which is a bit of a pain, I have a separate cash tracker app on my phone.
