Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I think Windows tablets are going to have a problem since you can get a perfectly good Windows laptop at the same price point or less.
OTOH, someone looking to buy an iPad probably isn't going to cross-shop a Windows laptop. I think the iPad's problem is going to be people who have a MacBook and an iPhone/iPod Touch wondering if they really need something in the middle. My prediction is that the iPad will do well and will be great for some people, but isn't going to be the next big thing.
I already read about some people who say that they're going to ditch their laptops, and buy a desktop computer and a iPad. Don't know how prevalent that will be, though.
Oh, I think the iPad will do well, I just don't think it's the next iPhone or iPod. Primarily because of the iPhone and iPod.
Thanks, o_a. I'll take a look later and see if I can use Component. I think the tv may have that option.
You can now completely disable Google Buzz in one click if you want. Too late for some people, but I'm glad I held off trying to undo all their stupid automatic stuff manually.
Do we know if that will kill your follows/following in Google Reader? Cause that I actually want to continue to use.
Seriously, I only hit that once.
It looks like it might. Google made a classic mistake and combined too many things that should have been kept separate, it seems.
The button deleted your profile and removes all followers completely.
Oh Google. Way to make a classic blunder.
(They'll probably do much better in that land war in Asia...)
