Did you have a fan fixed, too?
I don't think so. I'll have to check through the paperwork.
Javascript question (hide the children!):
If you want to force a value to be numeric, is there any difference between these two approaches?
aRT[j-1] += new Number(objJob.rows(0).cells(j).childNodes(0).value);
vs.
aRT[j - 1] += (objJob.rows(0).cells(j).childNodes(0).value - 0);
Did you have a fan fixed, too?
No, fan was not fixed (possibly it was never broken). Would an iBook run hot and then randomly shut down if the logic board was fried?
I'd probably use the JavaScript parseInt() or parseFloat() functions. One thing to watch out for, though, is that they return NaN if the parse fails, not 0.
Does anyone have a cordless phone system they're happy with?
I have had it up to here with the crap battery life of my Vtech. I'm looking for one that you can expand with handsets you just plug into power, not into additional phone lines. And that you can store phone numbers in. I don't want voicemail.
Anyone have any recommendations?
ita, I like the Panasonic ones I've been using. I have three handsets on the same unit and apparently it can expand (but I think I'd have to buy another 3 handset kit). I believe you can store phone numbers in the phone.
Got these at Amazon.
Hmm. Looking at some Panasonic lines right now. All the ones I can see that have speakerphone from the base (nifty when you run out the batteries on the handsets) also come with a digital answering system.
Which makes me wonder--why am I paying Verizon monthly for voicemail again?
My set does not have a speakerphone in the base. It only has them in the handsets. Mine also did not come with voicemail.
This is the one I purchased in August:
I second the recommendation for the Panasonic, ita. And you can store numbers in the phones, and then transfer the numbers from handset.
