What's your operating system? To manually set an IP address you want to change your network connections, but how you get there depends on your OS.
If you want to get an automatic renewal, you can type ipconfig /renew
at the command prompt and see if that makes a different--but if rebooting didn't, this might not either.
How do I change the ip?
Go into Network Connections control panel. Find the wireless card. Right click on it, and select "Properties" then when you have a properties screen up, find "internet protocol tcpip", highlight it, select the button that says, "properties"
In there you can change it to "Use the following ip address" and "use the following DNS server" and enter in the settings.
Click OK, and then Close when done.
man, good luck Suzi. What a PITA. Sorry.
I have marked these posts and when I have a brain again, I will give it a try.

We like this one,. They mayalmost certainly have upgraded the offerings since we got ours, but we really enjoy it. We also have this.
I've been very happy with my LG. I can try to figure out the exact model, but it's a couple years old and I'm betting the newer models have improvements.
I have an LG too, and it's been good to me. I can check to see what model it is. I can never even remember the size.
