Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No! Don't take my landline!

What will fax machines do then? Do they work over VOIP?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, let me be clear! Broadband internet and cellular access is most certainly not available to everyone!

Although, in my case, landline is not available to me either, so...

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, but fax does work over VOIP. I'm pretty sure that was my setup one of these configurations ago.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yeah, my entire office is VOIP and our fax machines still work.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

one could also use a fax service like maxemail to send and receive faxes. I think K7 is free.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

All of the faxes I need to send are of signed documents. Once I have them digitally I usually have the option (and I avail myself of it) to email it anyway.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, my entire office is VOIP and our fax machines still work.

So is ours, but all our faxes come to us electronically via email anyway, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, but even then you can scan into the computer and fax digitally from there. Assuming you can scan. That's how I fax right now, because I have the multifunction machine, but no longer have VOIP, and as mentioned, no land line. So I just convert the paper doc to digital, and then scan from there.

We used to have that, but apparently it cost too much (everyone in the company had their own fax #) so we went back to the old fashioned way. Which is silly because we're also under a semi-paperless decree which means every time we receive a fax that's not spam, we scan it to PDF and throw away (well, recycle) the paper. Not very green at all.

Art Crawl!!!

Hey, is it possible that my mouse is dying? For months now my computer has said that it can't recognize it which has made using it frustrating but I have been able to use it but this week it may have reached some new low.

I was assuming that my computer not recognizing the USB device was due to the failing battery (I was unable to crack open my tower) - so have been ignoring it but perhaps all I need to do is replace the mouse.

What do you think?
