Codes to Grab Free In-Flight Wi-Fi This Holiday Season
If you're on a decently long flight and want to connect to the net, there are more options than ever this year. If you're not flying Virgin America, however, they're not free. Unless you have these coupon codes, that is.
Our connectivity-loving sibling blog Gizmodo found a few codes for free in-flight Wi-Fi sitting on the FlyerTalk and MyMoneyBlog.com sites, good for one free in-flight hook-up per email address. As Giz notes, however, if you've got a Gmail address or another email that supports period separation (kevin.purdy instead of kevinpurdy) or + sign demarcations (kevinpurdy+freewifi), you can create an unlimited number of email activations.
Here are the relevant codes for the three U.S. airlines using GoGo's service....

That's too funny. I notice the contrast adjusts itself for her face too, and not his.
But, hey, how many black people use webcams? Slightly more than there are black business users in Poland, but still.
Has anyone run into wireless issues with Windows 7? Such as the wireless working fine until suddenly it doesn't?
Well, I've had my first Chumby wakeup, and it was successful. I was nervous about what would happen if it couldn't connect to Pandora, but it has a backup alarm set to go off five minutes after that, if the primary fails. Screen flares bright, music blares, all is good. I'll explore the apps more over the holidays.
I was about to get pissed at TiVo's explore option listing shows and movies I know aren't airing--when you explore a show it lists thumbnails of similar. But I just noticed it sources them for you--broadcast, Netflix, Amazon, Blockbuster. So I can get directly from exploring Sea of Souls to watching Julia. I mean, I can browse Netflix from TiVo. I don't have to add everything from my PC.
Cool.
I miss being able to get on the internet with my desktop. I spent too much money on this desktop for it not to have internet.
You still have support for it, right?
I haven't had to call tech support in... ever? I've always been able to fix everything myself. Until now. Man, Windows 7. Don't make me regret you!
Maybe you should call the woman in the ad who said she designed Windows 7. It must be her fault.
I don't know diddly about it. I just know I tore my hair out trying to get my sister's Vista laptop to play nicely with the other XP machines, and even my Vista PC takes networking breaks that mean I have to switch ports on the hub.
I haven't understood MS Networking since 2000, but at least I could fake it with XP.
tommyrot,
ooh. thanks for the links. I have been debating whether I will buy internet for my long flight back, but now I don't have to!
