That is what I'm looking at Vortex. They are offering me an upgrade with $100 off...so it is $149 (plus the service, plus another wireless thingie).

Suzi, I just got a thing for a half price HD tivo, is that what you want to upgrade to?

Sure!!! I just looked at my account and I've had the current TIVO for 5 years this Christmas. Wow, hadn't realized I had it that long.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

hold on, if there are TiVo coupons, I would love one. I am thinking about upgrading mine, but I'm not sure if I want to spend the $$ or not.

BTW, my TiVo has lasted since August 2003. I replaced the hard disk in it and everything.

Until I replaced it just a little while ago, my TiVo had been going since 2000.

the only reason that I got a new tivo is that the cable box wouldn't talk to my tivo. it worked fine when I lived in VA. My brother had the same trouble with his cable box, and we thought it was the tivo until I moved to DC and had the same problem.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I'm having some computer glitzes. The monitor is flicking in and out (it goes to black for a couple of seconds and comes back), and occasionally parts of the screen looks like fuzzy noise, then it gets better.

Monitor issue? If that's the case, I can switch the monitor. I really hope it's not the hard drive or motherboard issue.

ETA: and the computer freezes for a few seconds while the screen goes glitzy. And it's been doing that more frequently! (must make sure backup is up to date right now!)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Might be the video card.
