That might be it. My iPod speakers will charge the iPod but not when they're running off battery.
i'll try it again tonight with the laptop plugged in right away.
how about the second question? does anyone have an fm tuner that will charge while you listen in the car?
My router has died. I am connected to the internet with a cable. I am TETHERED!!! Anyone have a suggestion for a new router? I currently have (had) a D-Link DI-614+ 2.4 Ghz router. I live in a one bedroom apartment, so it doesn't need to be too powerful, I would think.
I've been using this one for about three years. The ones linked to upthread look good, but what I've got still works fine.
Vortex, how dead is it?

This is what I use and it's been flawless [link]
It's good for Internet use, but if you do big data transfers between your own computers, then spending extra for a wireless N router is worth it. At a similar price you might as well go N too, but I haven't used any so I don't have any data to point you toward one.
Why do routers fail so often, anyway? Isn't the entire thing solid state? Shouldn't they last longer than, say, your television?
