I never got my invite, either. Hmmm.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Ok, now I has Wave.
Thanks!
Cool! Good to know that that batch has gone out now. I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to how long it takes for invites to go out -- it seems to be anywhere from a few days to several weeks, but entirely up to the whim of the googods.
Random question: How often do you reboot your computer (if it's one you leave on all the time)?
Assuming I'm not updating something, I generally leave my MacBook Pro on for 20-30 days between reboots.
I will leave them on forever unless they crash. My Vista box reboots itself once a week or so. My Mac seems to have an update that requires a reboot every couple weeks, but I put it off for an extra couple weeks. The Ubuntu box stays untouched.

I rarely have to reboot my MacBook for some crash or something - so it's mostly for updates. Even so, I can't remember ever having an uptime more than 30 days. I guess they do have a lot of updates....
Like ita, I leave my laptop (oooold iBook G4) on forever unless it crashes.
I left my work computer on for about two years, except for occasional rebooting due to updates because I had a Treo, and the computer needed to be on for me to get mail. Now, I leave it on because it's craptastic and takes so long to come back to itself that I don't bother to shut it down. I used to shut it down every night.
I'm supposed to get a new one. Actually, it's already here, but the university IT people haven't put the virus protection on it, so my guy can't install it. Grrrr.
I try not to have a throw-away mentality, but I think after running the cleaning cycle multiple times, replacing the ink cartridges, cleaning the printer head, soaking the printer head and resetting to the default settings, I should have a printer that prints yellow and magenta if it ever was going to again. Cleaning seemed to help for a while, but not this time. The printer is about 5 years old. Anyone have an HP Photosmart Plus all-in-one? It seems to be the best combination of reviews and cost that I can, theoretically, buy tomorrow.
We're supposed to shut our office machines down every night to get updates, but it takes almost half an hour to boot up in the morning, so I only shut it down on weekends.
