I'd suggest at least having a good surge suppressor on there, too

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
My dad wants to know if there's a way he can batch download from one of my Flickr sets (I finally got all the Canada pics uploaded).
I can't find any way to do this, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. He doesn't want to order prints, just download the original size photos.
Does anyone have any recs for an iPod radio transmitter (that lets you play your iPod through your radio, NOT one that lets your iPod play radio stations)?
My car transmitter -- or, more accurately, the THIRD replacement cord I've bought for it -- died a painful death over the weekend, and after I send Macally an e-mail of displeasure at their crap-ass cords, I'm going to buy a totally different one.
Any recs?
I like Belkin's stuff. The problem that I find is finding "clear" static because there's so much crap on the radio now, and you can't manually tune your radio to a static-y bit.

You live in a much larger metro area than I do; out in my neck of the woods there's still a decent amount of "clear" static way down at the public radio end of the dial.

Does your radio no longer have a dial? Well, actually, my car is a 2000 Echo (i.e., very minor on the "frills" such as power locks and windows; while the radio has a cassette player and CD player, it also still has knobs for tuning), so I shouldn't use my old car as a model for what newer cars have.
I'll check out Belkin's stuff -- thanks!
Can you get an adapter for the cassette player, I believe those are more reliable.
Does your radio no longer have a dial?
no! cries It seemed so cool in the beginning, to be able to press a button. Actually, technically it does have a dial, but it's digital, so it only goes in particular increments, so you can't get that nuance.
I'm amazed that more of the cars don't have an 1/8th inch jack these days.
I think it's getting pretty common with new cars. USB ports are starting to show up now too.
I love my radio with USB port. Aftermarket radio in that case. I threaded the USB port into my glovebox when I installed it. In our Sentra I threaded it into the ashtray, which is a cool setup (for non-smokers like us).
We have a cassette adapter for our car radio and use it to play the iPod. We got ours at Radio Shack (now apparently known as The Shack) for really cheap, and while we don;t use it very often, we've had it for ages (like, since before iPods existed - we used to use it to play CDs using a CD walkman).
