Like any of that's enough to fight the Dark Master. Bator.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So one or both of my computer fans appear to be making noise. I couldn't see any wires or anything being hit by the blades, but I can hear that sort of noise that I hear when the computer is using a lot of power because it's copying a lot of files or something. Do fans start sucking after three years? This just started happening yesterday. The noise stopped this morning, and now it's back again.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Clean out the dust bunnies, I bet that will help.

Coding and Sleeping

I've had fans go bad plenty of times like that, make noise for awhile then go quiet again. I just try to isolate the bad fan and replace it.

Yeah, try to dust it out first, definitely.

Yeah, there's a lot of dust. I should go buy some compressed air or something?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Yes.

Rock on. I hope that works. I just realized that one of the fans is the power source, and the power source died on my old computer several years ago. And you guys helped me diagnose the problem and replace the power source myself! I hope that's not the problem right now. I don't want to deal with that business.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Whatever you do, DO NOT put the computer in the blender!

Our wings are not tired

One of the things to be careful about when you are blowing the dust out of the fans is to make sure that you are blowing the dust OUT of the electronics and not into them. In other words open the computer case and blow from inside the case to the outside. If the fans are on the power supply check to see where the interior vents are on the power supply and blow from inside the computer case towards the outside. I watch far too many people try to fix dirty electronics with canned air make the problem worse by blowing all kinds of crap right into the air intake.

Wise words.
