SBsettings toggles (easily switch 3G/WiFi/airport mode on and off with a swipe and a touch, rather than having to dig through the settings menu)
That would be nice.

the ability to hide icons you don't use (bye, built-in useless Weather app!)
I just made a page of icons at the very end of the line for stuff I never/rarely use. YouTube, AppStore, ITMS, all in the back of the line. So that doesn't bother me.

the ability to run Pandora and Skype in the background
That is pretty killer. does it run when your phone is in standby mode? (screen off, in your pocket, so you are logged on to Skype, available to take a call?)

Hey. New board.

Yes. It's good. I mean, it is definitely a battery drain, but if that's not a bother then it's great.

ETA: For this to work, you also need a utility called KeepAwake that keeps your wifi connected when your phone goes to sleep. That's what really drains the battery.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So Radio Shack is rebranding itself as "The Shack".

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. I can't wait to say to my hipster friends, "Hey dudes, let's all go to The Shack!"

They're abandoning their core market of ham radio enthusiasts. I'm sure they'll go out of business pretty quickly now.

Coding and Sleeping

Hey now, I've been to radio shack a good three times in the last decade. Okay, I see your point.

The Love Shack?

The Love Shack?
Ha! I thought the same thing. They used to be real useful. While not high quality, they had things to get you through for a show or two. Sadly the bits and parts are slowly leaving their shelves.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

They used to be real useful.

It was the same for building any kind of electronical gewgaws, and not just for show folk -- they were the one place you'd be sure to find the adapter to go between the whozymawhatsis and that freaky interface on the bit of foofaraw that only one OEM used for a while in 1985, that you just happened to have sitting in the back of the closet and you didn't want to have to replace it with a new one.

But the last few years, they've turned into a low-rent cell phone store with a few random dusty computers.
