Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Time remaining on the install: about an hour. Then the system update to 10.4, then ProTools. Everything else can wait for later.

Our wings are not tired

So you will hopefully have ProTools later today for tech?

I'll have it one way or another, but I wanted internally on the laptop.

Coding and Sleeping

I thought I had my first serious fail from Windows 7 64-bit. I hooked up my old laser printer and it didn't work. I installed Vista drivers from Samsung and it still didn't work. I uninstalled everything and installed a different Vista driver. Didn't work.

Then I changed USB cables. Turned on the printer and Win 7 had it configured in a few seconds without any action on my part. Windows 7 - 1. USB Cable - 0.

not sure if it's the new Firefox, or just Netflix, but reorganizing my queue was a royal pain in the butt. Anyone else having the problem?

ita, on the desktop version of Skype, it's in Options under Privacy. I can't find a place to set it on the website.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, Deena. I went through the adventure of setting it up on my PC (Vista and firewalling Skype makes *no* sense--it wouldn't let me log in until I had unchecked Skype as an exception to the firewalling) and bumped into it much more easily there.

I can't believe that the new, shiny, large hard drive that the Mac repair place put in my laptop has already failed. It's only been a couple months. I wonder what their warranty period is like...and why did it have to go pear-shaped on the 4th?

Can anybody tell my why my Mac isn't connecting with anybody's iDisk? I really need to check for a file on Drew's iDisk, but every time I try to connect, it just gives me "clunk" sound and nothing happens.
