I'm trying to convince myself that i don't need a 32GB phone that that 8GB is fine. It's not, but it's really not that big of a deal. so, I keep telling myself.

Sean,
I think that tethering will strain the network and ATT doesn't want that. If the iphone had been less successful, they might be able to risk it, but having every Tom, Dick, and Harry out there tethering? We won't be able to make cell phone calls for days. Especially since iphone users typically use about 3-5X as much data as they average phone user already.
Technically, I have an unlocked Nokia phone that I use to tether on occasion (like a day here or there).
So, no change to the 17" MacBook Pro besides a price reduction?
what exactly is tethering?
Using a cellphone as a modem for a laptop, etc.
The other MacBook Pros now come with an SD Card slot, but the 17" still has an ExpressCard slot (for now, at least).
aha! thanks, tommy!
iPhone pricing from AT&T is... complicated.
I'm wanting one. Since I still have a 1st Gen Edge iPhone, I might be eligible for some discount. First, I need to pay for f2f. Then I need to see what the OS upgrade will do for my current iPhone. The sad thing is, with the $99 8gig 3G option, I won't get much for my Edge iPhone.
